After having Nick Williams’ book, “The Work We Were Born To Do” recommended to me by so many people I respect, I finally got around to reading it – and knew immediately that this book had to be included in the Bottom-line Bookclub! The Work We Were Born To Do isn’t a bland career-guidance kind of book. It’s a deeply spiritual book that’ll get you out of stress and overwhelm, give you perspective on your work, and get you really clear on what’s important and what doesn’t matter at all in the work you do. If you’re in the process of changing your work, if you’re an entrepreneur who’s always in the process of working on both yourself and your work, and if you’d like a more meaningful, fulfilling experience of work, then this Bottom-line will change your life!

In our high-change world, we’re all dealing with more challenge and change in our life-times than ever before. And, while some of those changes are wonderful opportunities that enrich our lives, many of those changes are scary and throw us off our balance or and leave us reeling from the tremendous loss. The bad news is that trying to control the world around you and make it neat and orderly and predictable is a futile, losing battle. The good news is that you can find inner peace and create the life you want anyway, using everything that life offers you, if you just know how to develop the sort of agile thinking and emotional mastery that’ll enable you to find and even create the hidden opportunities in life. If you’ve suffered a recent loss, are going through major change and upheaval, or are feeling stuck and just can’t see the opportunities to create the life you want, then the Bottom-line on the Flipside will feel like it was written for you.
